Why the Golden temple is attacked by every govt. rules India? Why the Sikhs are targeted every time though the Sikhs have given more sacrifices to liberate the nation than Hindus or Muslims but why then the sanctum sactorium and highest seat of Sikh religion is attacked?
Since it is built, it has been attacked (major attacks) six times and is destroyed twice. The Golden temple or Harmandar Sahib ji was gutted to debris by Ahmad shah Abdali in 1761. It was rebuilt by Jassa Singh Ahluwalia and completed in 1763..
Next it was attacked and tried to blow off by the Indian secular govt in 1984 but they could blew only Akakl Takhat. The Harmandar Sahib was damaged with bullets, even the holy book (Present eternal Guru of Sikh religion) was also pierced with a bullet. Why?
Ahmad Shah Abdali attacked India and defeated Marathas in third war of Panipat in 1760. He captured the yopoung women and men of Marathas and was taking them back to Kabul and Gazani to sell them as slaves but these captives somehow sent a message to Sikhs hidden in forests and appealed to help them. Sikh generals, who had a high respect for women decided to attack the forces of Abdali.
When Absdali was passing through the forests of Malwa, Sikh forces ambushed them in the wee hours and got the captives released. These liberated young women and men were than sent back to their homes under escort of Sikh soldiers. Abdali was amused that who dared to attack him. Any how after the defeat he reached Lahore. Their he met the Nawab or governor of Lahore Nawab Zakria khan and discussed his defeat. He was told by Zakria khan that these are the Sikh people. Abdali asked what do they eat, ‘he replied the boiled grams’, Next he asked where do they sleep, ‘On the saddle of horses’ What is their source of strength, he replied that their holy shrine is at Amritsar and there is pond, to which Sikhs call it a pond of Nectar, they drink its water, take bath in it and become immortal.”
Abdali warned him that beware of these Sikhs, they will defeat you and rule one day so better to eliminate them and crush them.
Then he sent his forces to Amritsar under the command of his son. He came to Amritsar and blew off the Golden temple or Harmadar Sahib by guns(which was not gold plated at that time) and filled the holy Nectar pond with debris.
It is said that a blown brick hit the forehead of his son who died after the attack. Thus he (Abdali) took the revenge with Sikhs.
But when he returned back to Kabul, Sikh general Jassa Singh Ahluwalia rebuilt it.
In free India, This Golden temple is said to be attacked in 1984 by the Indian army but it was attacked earlier in 1955 by then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru also.Why did he attack, read full story before I conclude the reasons of continuous attacks on this holy Sikh shrine.

Founded in the 15th century by Guru Nanak’s frustration with the caste system and rituals of other religions, Sikhism was formed to be all inclusive. Much of the religion is based on science and as people explained it to us, we began to understand its meaning.
Women have complete equality and can even be the head of the religion. Unlike the Pope of Catholosism or Dalai Lama of Buddhism, a woman can lead the Sikhs.
That is if she is elected.
The Sikh religion is a democracy and anyone can rule it. You don’t have to be born or ordained as the head of the religion, you are elected to a committee and if people are not happy with your work, you may not be back during the next election.
The Sikhs are all inclusive and that shows nowhere more than at The Golden Temple.
You Must Eat At the Golden Temple;

There is no charge to enter the temple and they will even feed you for your efforts of coming to visit. The Golden Temple feeds up to 100,000 people a day from the free kitchen run by volunteers. An amazing feat, but what is even more amazing is that this has been going for 450 years without missing one single day.
No matter what your position in life, everyone eats together on the floor. You may find yourself sitting beside a Celebrity, Royalty or the President and they will be treated exactly the same.
The food is clean and delicious and the 450 years of practice is evident as they feed thousands of people at once in a matter of 10 minutes. Dahl, chapati, ghee and aloo gobi are on the menu and cooked to perfection.
Once you are finished, you scoop up your stainless steel tray and take it to the wash station as the next wave of pilgrims file in.
It is a fascinating experience and one not to be missed.
The complex is large and as you walk around the marble walkway, the soothing song of the musicians and priests singing from the holy book plays from the loudspeakers.
Don’t worry though, Sikhs don’t believe in noise pollution, so the speakers are set at a comfortable volume and they are respectful of not having the sound travel far from the complex walls.
After a few hours, we finally made our way to the causeway that leads to the entrance of the temple. The crowd was thick, but orderly.
That is until we finally made it to the entrance. It was pushing and shoving from everywhere to get inside. And we couldn’t understand the hurry since you are allowed to spend as much time as you like.
The main level has musicians and holy men sitting in the middle. They are in a constant state of playing and singing from sun up to sun down. They take turns reciting in two hour intervals. The book is on display under a white cloth and people throw money into the center as if their life depended on it. Which in many cases, they probably feel that it does.
We walked up to the other two levels and spent time enjoying the view while others around us prayed and listened to the words.
It was peaceful and beautiful.
Night time is not to be missed. The temple glistens under the lights and the mood is calm and quiet.
It is a sanctuary in this hectic land known as India and certainly a favorite destination of the country so far.
Golden Temple (1955);
Sikh promises were broken after the independence of India in 1947, many Congress leaders like Nehru and Patel described Sikh community as a criminal tribe in October 1947 soon after the Independence whereas thousands of Sikhs were made homeless, called refuzee in their own homeland. Nearly ten million of people were killed in this sub-continent. Punjab was divided by British. The main land was given to Pakistan and Sikhs had to flee from their homes. They were attacked, their properties were set on fire , their women were raped, their children were orphaned, eve than they were called CRIMINALS by our Hindu govt and its leaders, though most of these Sikhs were land lords in their areas and successful businessmen and belonged to well to do families.This lead to Punjab Suba State agitation where Akali Leaders demanded more rights for Punjab and they gathered in Darbar Sahib to lead a peaceful protest but govt moved in and surrounded Harmandar Sahib complex.
Sikh protestors continued to grow in numbers. All the jails in Punjab had been filled and it had become increasingly difficult to contain the Sikh movement. Since the movement was started at Darbar Sahib, it was considered “headquarter” of all the operations and the government took strict measures to prevent Sikhs from going to Darbar Sahib. The police surrounded Darbar Sahib. No one was allowed to enter the premises without permission and having been searched by the police. Many Sikhs were arrested just on the basis that they were going to Darbar Sahib. It was naturally assumed that they were going to join the protestors. Even tourists were insulted and arrested. This brutal action of the police was more than enough to awaken the Sikh nation. They marched towards Darbar Sahib in large numbers and forced police to retreat and leave the vicinity of Darbar Sahib.

Finally, it was decided to crush the movement by all means necessary. Ashwani Kumar, DIG of Jalandhar police, asked for permission to practice unlimited privileges and promised to destroy the movement within 5 days. Upon getting the permission, he ordered the police to confiscate handguns, rifles and all other firearms kept by SGPC, Sikh leaders and members of Akali Dal. Censorship was put on Sikh newspapers disallowing them to highlight the truth and educating the public of the real situation. The police stopped printing of the newspapers and closed down the main buildings. Many Sikh journalists and news reporters were arrested. Printing press was stopped, confiscated and all of the printed material was burnt by the police. It was all part of the plan so that no one would know the extent of the police operation and the mass public will stay uninformed.
After disarming the Sikh leadership, the police started its operation. First, Darbar Sahib was surunded by thousands of policemen and the public was stopped from going in and out of the coromplex. Then all the rest houses were searched and everyone found was arrested. All of the political members and leaders within the vicinity of Darbar Sahib were arrested and taken to jail. Everything was searched in the SGPC office. Then the police moved to Manji Sahib. When the Sikhs
By this time the police had fortified every building standing outside of the main complex and started to throw tear and poisonous gas at the Sikhs. Then the police entered the main complex with shoes on and fired upon the Sikhs that had gathered there to protest peacefully.
Many bullets were fired at the main building and Akal Takhat Sahib. All the religious activities such as Kirtan and Akhand Paath were stopped and every Sikh including women was insulted, beaten and then arrested. This was all done to immobilize the Sikh movement. The police kept full control of Darbar Sahib for four days. More than 3000 Sikhs were arrested including many of the leaders and employees of SGPC. Several hundred including women and children were injured. About 20 petrol bombs were thrown at Manji Sahib that's how you treat you're citizens this is something needs to be contemplated. Their have been reports the Army men used chemical gas to break the morale of Sikhs this has been going on for us for last 60 years.
Same method was applied in Operation Bluestar and it was sign of things to come how Sikhs holiest place is deserted.
Time and time again. I tried to provide detail account of 1955 though it was not in the magnitude of 1984 but still bullets were fired at Akal Takhat Sahib. I hope it proves that Harmandar Sahib was attacked though not too many people are aware of this event and here is some attitude of Politicians towards Sikhs since 1947.

Golden Temple, the most sacred place of India has been stormed thrice by the Indian forces since we got independence in 1947.
First of all it was stormed by Police in 1955. The pictures you see, clearly violates the sanctity of the place.Police personals can be seen moving inside the periphery of the sarovar and at Akal Takhat with their shoes worn. It is a proof of Hindu Police officer's command and disrespect to the shrine.
Third time it was again stormed by Indian paramilitary forces in 1986. This time it was called the operation blackthunder. KPS Gill supervised this attack.
Meanwhile, after ‘Operation Blue Star’ and the Sikh genocide, Sikhs’ struggle for independence continued, but the Indian government made every effort to crush the same with the state machinery. To maintain their control over the Golden Temple, another attack was launched on the Temple in 1987, called ‘Operation Black Thunder’. This time only Sikh resistance was the main target. In that respect, quite a number of people of their community were killed and dead bodies lay inside the sacred place for many days. According to a report, many trucks were loaded with dead bodies and all were burned with kerosene oil. Afterwards, ‘Operation Woodrose’ and ‘Operation Black Thunder-II’ were conducted against the Sikh community, which also assassinated them extra-judicially.
Since than it has not been attacked but Sikhs were killed in fake encounters upto 1995. All this ended with the retirement of KPS Gill. The young Sikh generation in the age group of 15- 25 years was swept by this trait Sikh police officer.
Now I come to the main point again- why the Sikh shrine is always targeted in India? Why since the Mogul era who wanted to eliminate Sikhs, this policy is adopted by the other govts also, unfortunately by those who were supported by Sikhs themselves.
Sikhs denies themselves calling Hindus. Hindus is an intolerable religion. Whosoever challenges it or dares to is first allowed to flourish and then swallowed or submerged. Sikhs are cautious and now have spread all over the world, so their religion can’t be submerged now. They are very laborious people, good farmers, good businessmen, good warriors, religious, justice loving people, all these qualities are not found in Hindus so they are jealous. The sixth Guru Hargobind Singh ji wore two swords called them MIRI and PIRI. They were meant to fight against tyranny and to protect the needy. Sikhs follow this in their life also. They are always eager to help without any discrimination of cast, color, race or creed. Equality is guarnteed in Sikhism. There this high quality put them in troubles as thus, they make foes not friends.
Nawab Zakriaa khan had truthfully declared the high qualities of his enemy—The Sikhs and their source of strength. They drink the water of this Nectar pond and become immortal. Every agitation is started from this place because Sikhs pray their Waheguru before they start any work and after performing the Ardas or prayer, they do not return empty handed until the task to which Ardas is done, is not completed or achieved. So it may be a political movement, any agitation or any religious movement, Sikhs start it from this sacred place only. This is their source of strength so every govt attacks here only to suppress them/ crush them or eliminate them as Indian govt did in 1984, and tried to eliminate sikhs with the help of Indian army.
The central govt of India and its Prime Minister Indira too considered Sikhs as her enemies due to raising their voice against emergency rule and her dictatorship.
During emergency in 1975-77, Indira declared emergency in India. Sikhs were the first to raise their voice against use of emergency. Indira got irritated as no one could dare to speak against her. She wanted to avenge Sikhs and then she played the dirty politics in Punjab with the help of some anti Sikh people of Punjab like Lala Jagat Narayan, Virender and some other Hindus. Akalis were powerful and without them it was not easy for anyone to rule in Punjab. Indira had made her mind to see the rule of Congress in Punjab.
These were the two main factors which lead to the disaster of Punjab which ultimately lead to Operation Bluestar in 1984 and she herself got killed in retaliation by Sikhs in the same year 1984. All this is discussed in other blogs.

ਬਹੁਤੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਇਹੀ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਜੂਨ 1984 ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਵਲੋਂ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ ਹਮਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ । ਪਰ ਅਖੌਤੀ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਦੇ (1947) ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬ 8 ਸਾਲਾਂ (ਜੁਲਾਈ 1955) ਬਾਅਦ ਹੀ ਭਾਰਤੀ-ਰਾਜ ਨੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੱਲਾ ਬੋਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ । ਇਹ ਹਮਲਾ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸੂਬਾ ਮੋਰਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਚਲਣ ਲਈ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ । ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਦੀ ਮਸ਼ੀਨਰੀ ਵਲੋਂ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕੰਪਲੈਕਸ ਵਿਚ ਕਹਿਰ ਢਾਹਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਪੇਸ਼ਬੰਦੀ ਦੇ ਤੌਰ ਉਪਰ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ, ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੀਆਂ 24 ਬੰਦੂਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਾਇਸੰਸ ਜ਼ਬਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਗਈ । ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਤੇ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਰਕਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਬੰਦੂਕਾਂ ਤੇ ਪਿਸਤੌਲਾਂ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ ਜ਼ਬਤ ਕਰ ਲਈਆਂ । ਮਾਸਟਰ ਤਾਰਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਬੰਦੂਕ ਤੇ ਪਿਸਤੌਲ ਵੀ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਕਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਗਈ । ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਕਿ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਦੇ ਹਮਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਕਿਧਰੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਹਥਿਆਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਹੀ ਸ਼ੁਨਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ ।
ਡਿਪਟੀ ਇੰਸਪੈਕਟਰ ਜਨਰਲ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਮਹਾਸ਼ਾ ਅਸ਼ਵਨੀ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਦਾ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਐਕਸ਼ਨ 3 ਤੇ 4 ਜੁਲਾਈ ਅੱਧੀ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ । ਜਦਕਿ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਟੋਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਹੈੱਡ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਭੁਪਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਮੈਨੇਜਰ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਗੁਰਦਿਆਲ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਕਾਇਮ-ਮੁਕਾਮ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਤੇਜਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰੋਫ਼ੈਸਰ ਹਰਭਜਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਆਦਿ ਦੇ ਮਕਾਨਾਂ ਉਪਰ ਛਾਪੇ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ । ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਵਾਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਪਾਸ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਜ਼ੁੰਮੇਵਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਵੀ ਵਰੰਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਨ । ਜਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਭੁਪਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰੀ ਲਈ ਰਾਤ ਦੇ ਸਾਢੇ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਵਜੇ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਕਾਨ ਉਪਰ ਪੁੱਜੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ ‘ਮੇਰੇ ਵਰੰਟ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਹਨ”, ਉੱਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਥਾਣੇਦਾਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ‘ਮੈਂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਵਰੰਟ ਹਾਂ ।”
ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ ਮੁਗਲ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਹੈੱਡ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਭਾਈ ਮਨੀ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਹੁਣ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਆਇਆ ਜਦਕਿ ਵਰਤਮਾਨ ਹੈੱਡ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਦੇ ਜੱਥੇਦਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਟਣਾ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਸਮਝਿਆ। ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਰੰਗ ਨੇ !
ਅਸਲ ਵੱਡਾ ਐਕਸ਼ਨ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਤਿੰਨ-ਚਾਰ ਵਜੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਇਆ, ਜਦਕਿ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਹਥਿਆਰਬੰਦ ਪੁਲਸੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਮਹਾਸ਼ਾ ਅਸ਼ਵਨੀ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਧਾਵਾ ਬੋਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ । ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਸਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਨਾਕੇ ਰੋਕ ਲਏ ਗਏ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਪੁਰ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਦਾ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਪਹਿਰਾ ਬਿਠਾ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਦੇ ਦਫ਼ਤਰ ਉਪਰ ਇੱਕੋ ਵਾਰ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਮਹਾਸ਼ਾ ਅਸ਼ਵਨੀ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਐਕਸ਼ਨ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੁੱਜੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਤਿਆਗ੍ਰਹੀ ਜਥੇ ਗਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕਰ ਲਏ ਜਾਣ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਘਟੋ-ਘੱਟ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਸਤਿਆਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਮੋਰਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਚਲਣ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕਰ ਸਕੇ, ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਉਹ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਜਦ ਤਕ ਦੀਵਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਰੋਕਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ । ਮੋਰਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਫੇਲ੍ਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ । ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਗਲਾ ਕਦਮ ਮੰਜੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਦੀਵਾਨ ਅਸਥਾਨ ‘ਤੇ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਐਕਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧਾਉਣਾ ਸ਼ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ । ਸਿਖ਼ਰ ਦੁਪਹਿਰੇ ਲਾਠੀਆਂ, ਬੰਦੂਕਾਂ, ਪਿਸਤੌਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਟੀਅਰ ਗੈਸ ਨਾਲ ਲੈਸ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਦੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਆਦਮੀ ਇਸ ਧਾਵੇ ਲਈ ਪੁੱਜ ਗਏ । ਪ੍ਰਾਪੇਗੰਡਾ ਵੈਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਮੰਜੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ‘ਤੇ ਦਫ਼ਾ 144 ਲੱਗੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ,ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਦੀਵਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ । ਸਿੱਖ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕਠੀਆਂ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੀਆਂ ਸਨ । ਪੁਲੀਸ ਦੀ ਇਸ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ ਇਸ਼ਤਿਆਲ ਅੰਗੇਜ਼ੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਮ ਤੇ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਬਰਦਸਤ ਲਹਿਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਸੀ। ਘਬਰਾਹਟ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਡਰਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਗਲੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਫੌਜ ਵਲੋਂ ਫਲੈਗ ਮਾਰਚ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ।
ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਹੁਕਮ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਹਾਲਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਬੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਰੱਖਣ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਪੜ੍ਹੀ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ, ਜਿਸ ਉਪਰ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਬੀਬੀਆਂ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਧੁੱਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੋੜਿਆਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਥਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਦੀਵਾਨ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਤੱਕ ਬੈਠ ਗਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਐਲਾਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਮੰਜੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵੱਲ ਹੋਰ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਦਮੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਾਸ਼ਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਲੰਘ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਸਾਰਾ ਰਾਹ ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਤੇ ਸਿੰਘਣੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਰੋਕਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਜੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਵੱਧਣ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ ਹਰ ਤਸ਼ੱਦਦ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਾਂਤਮਈ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਸਨ। ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਵੱਧ ਕੇ ਗੈਸਾਂ ਤੇ ਡਾਂਗਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਨੀ ਸ਼ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ । ਟੀਅਰ ਗੈਸ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਬੰਬ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਕਿ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਜੋੜੇ ਰੱਖਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਭਗਦੜ ਮੱਚਣੀ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਸੀ, ਫੇਰ ਵੀ ਬੈਠੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਬੀਬੀਆਂ ਡਟੇ ਰਹੇ। ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਹਟਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੋਰ ਟੀਅਰ ਗੈਸ ਦੇ ਬੰਬ ਸੁੱਟੇ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਧਾਧੁੰਦ ਲਾਠੀਚਾਰਜ ਕਰਨਾ ਸ਼ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਸ਼ੱਦਦ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੋਈ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਮੰਜੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਦੀਵਾਨ ਸਥਾਨ ਪੁਰ ਪੁੱਜ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਭੀ ਅੰਧਾਧੁੰਦ ਗੈਸੀ ਗੋਲੇ ਛੱਡੇ ਤੇ ਲਾਠੀਚਾਰਜ ਕੀਤਾ। ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਤਸ਼ੱਦਦ ਨਾਲ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮੀ ਹੋਏ। ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਕਰਮਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਹਟਾਉਣ ਸ਼ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਵੱਡੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਡੱਟ ਗਈਆਂ। ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਮਹਾਸ਼ਾ ਅਸ਼ਵਨੀ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਅੱਜ ਆਪਣੀ ਆਈ ਪੁਰ ਆਏ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ। ਮੰਜੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਰਤਾ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਹ ਨਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਤਸ਼ੱਦਦ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖਣ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਉਪਰ ਪ੍ਰਕਰਮਾ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਇੱਟਾ ਪਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਉਸ ਦਾ ਰਵੱਈਆਂ ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਅਜੀਬ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਕਦੇ ਇਹ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਕਿ ਇੱਟਾਂ-ਪੱਥਰ ਵੱਜ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਕਦੇ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਕਿ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਉਪਰ ਪਿਸਤੌਲ ਨਾਲ ਸੱਤ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਚਲਾਈਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਗੋਲੀ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਸੇ ਪੁਲੀਸੀਏ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਇਆ, ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਹ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ, ਫੁੱਲ ਹੋਣ। ਜਿੱਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਇੱਟਾਂ-ਵੱਟਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਬੰਧ ਹੈ, ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਭੜਕੀ ਹੋਈ ਭੀੜ ਵਿੱਚੋ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਕੋਈ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਝੂਠੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਕੇਵਲ ਹੋਰ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਤਸ਼ੱਦਦ ਲਈ ਬਹਾਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਹੀ ਘੜੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਪੁਲੀਸ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਲੰਗਰ, ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਭਾਈ ਚੇਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਹੋਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਕਾਨ ਉਪਰ ਜਾ ਚੜ੍ਹੀ । ਗਿਆਨੀ ਚੇਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਹੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਕਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਟੀਅਰ ਗੈਸ ਦੇ ਬੰਬ ਸੁੱਟੇ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਬੇਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਮਕਾਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਉਕਤ ਤਿੰਨ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਅਫਸਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਕਰਮਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਟੀਅਰ ਗੈਸ ਦੇ ਬੰਬ ਸੁੱਟੇ, ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਚਲਾਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਟਾਂ-ਪੱਥਰ ਵੀ ਮਾਰੇ।
ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ ਵੇਖੀ ਗਈ ਕਿ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਵਾਲੇ ਆਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਟਾ-ਵੱਟੇ ਵੀ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਧੱਕਮ-ਧੱਕੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਕਰਮਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕ ਦੀਵਾਰ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਈ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਆ ਕੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮੀ ਹੋਏ। ਜੋ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਚਲਾਈਆ ਗਈਆਂ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਕਈ ਸਿੰਘ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮੀ ਹੋਏ, ਜੋ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਦਾਖਲ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ। ਸ਼੍ਰ੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਦੇ ਜਨਰਲ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਸ਼ ਅਜਾਇਬ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰੈੱਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਇੱਕ ਬਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਘੱਟੋ-ਘੱਟ ਦੋ ਸਿੱਖ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਰ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਜਾਂ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਵਲੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਤਰਦੀਦ ਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ।
ਗੈਸੀ ਗੋਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਰਮਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੰਧਾਧੁੰਦ ਛੱਡੇ ਗਏ । ਗੈਸ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੇਠਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਤਲੀ ਮੰਜ਼ਲ ਵਿਚ ਵੀ ਪੁੱਜ ਗਈ ਤੇ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਤੇ ਅਖੰਡ ਪਾਠ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੜੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਾਨੀ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਪਿਆ । ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਰ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੱਕ ਗਈ । ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨੇ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਵੀ ਕੰਧਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਲੱਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਾਫ਼ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਰਹੇ ।
ਮਹਾਸ਼ਾ ਅਸ਼ਵਨੀ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਮੁਗ਼ਲ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੋਂ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਪਵਿੱਤਰਤਾ ਭੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਅੱਤਿਆਚਾਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰਾ ਸਿੱਖ ਜਗਤ ਤੜਪ ਉਠਿਆ ।

2)- The Golden Temple, it is a thorn to the Hindu Indian govt. They just can't accept the Akaal takht as the parliment for the sikhs. No govt would want two parliment in a country that is why they distroy the akaal takht to the ground and not the darbar sahib in 1984.(By:- Gurdwara Sahib Sunway)
